Despatch: Manoj Bajpayee opens up about shooting intimate scenes; 'I was struggling to...'

Manoj Bajpayee has opened up about doing intimate scenes in Kanu Behl's film Despatch. The movie will premiere on ZEE5 on December 13.

Manoj Bajpayee has done over 100 films in his acting career. The Bollywood actor is presently awaiting the digital release of his movie Despatch. Directed by Kanu Behl, the investigative thriller will premiere on ZEE5 on December 13. Days before his film's OTT release, Manoj spoke about doing the thriller. The actor also opened up about doing intimate scenes in the film. Bajpayee admitted that he struggled to shoot such scenes for Despatch.

In an interview with Mid-Day, Manoj Bajpayee said he found it difficult to shoot intimate scenes for Despatch. The actor even asked director Kanu Behl if the intimate scenes were necessary. Manoj wanted to understand the filmmaker's thought process behind it.

"He came up with his answer, and I was quite okay with it. [That said], how I was going to be [while shooting it] was the question. By nature, I am a very shy person. I was struggling to do the scenes for the camera. But that wasn’t evident to my director or to anyone else," Manoj told the tabloid.

The actor further praised his co-star Shahana Goswami and recalled being in awe of her approach to those scenes. "I wanted to be like her because she wasn’t only doing that scene or playing it sexy, but also depicting the mental state of the character. That was quite fascinating to me about her as an actor," he added.
