Demonte Colony II: Vengeance of the Unholy, the upcoming horror thriller film is all set to hit theatres on Thursday, August 15 for the occasion of Independence Day. The film is the sequel of the 2015 film Demonte Colony and stars Arulnithi in the lead role.

Horror franchises is no new thing to cinema, and in Tamil film industry where makers often thread a path that leads to horror franchises like Aranmanai and Kanchana, Demonte Colony promises to be a true-blue horror film without any commercial elements like song and dance. With Demonte Colony II: Vengeance of the Unholy releasing on Thursday, you can revisit the first part by streaming it on SunNXT app and OTTplay Premium.

The first part, which is also directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu, released in 2015. It starred Arulnithi, Sananth, Ramesh Thilak, MS Bhaskar, and others. The film revolves around four friends who go inside a haunted bungalow and have an eerie experience. However, after they come back to their room, one of them reveals having stolen a cursed necklace from the place, leading to a chain of haunting events.

With Demonte Colony II: Vengeance of the Unholy, the makers have planned to develop a franchise with multiple parts planned to be made. The announcements on the next parts are expected to be made after gauging the reception the sequel receives.

The cast of Demonte Colony II: Vengeance of the Unholy includes actors Arulnithi, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Antti Jaaskelainen, Tsering Dorjee, Arunpandian, Muthukumar, Meenakshi Govindarajan, Sarjano Khalid, Archana Ravichandran and others.

The sequel is produced by Bobby Balachandran, Vijayasubramanian, and RC Rajkumar. The technical crew consists of Harish Kannan cranking the camera and Kumaresh as the editor. Sam CS has scored the music for the film.
