Demon Slayer Hashira Training Arc episode 2 story:

Since the ultimate demon Muzan is planning to devour Nezuko, all the Hashiras are training hard to be able to defeat him. This is except one – Water Hashira, Giyu Tomioka. Tanjiro is out to convince him, and unravel some secrets between them.

Demon Slayer Hashira Training Arc episode 2 Review:

Episode 2 commences exactly where episode 1 ended. Tamayo has something to share with Yushiro. He is his crazy self once again. Yamato has an offer to the Yubukashiki residence, and as expected, that leads to a lot of doubts and unexplained feelings.

Enjoy 35+ OTTs like ZEE5, LionsgatePlay, Ullu, SunNXT, SonyLIV, Fancode and 250+ Live TV channels at just ₹99.

The introduction, as expected, is high on music. Soon after, there's a soft and sad scene around Kubuyashiki.

Tanjiro finally gets his challenge. It is to convince Water Hashira Giyu Tomioka. Their cartoon-ish entry doesn't exactly fit the situation but given their characters, it works. Everything after is endearing. Tanjiro will especially remind you of the young Guy from Naruto and how annoyingly funny he was around Kakashi.

A fond memory from the past which is very much linked to Tanjiro is recalled. This becomes heartwarming and at the same time heartbreaking to watch. Tomioka, thus, finally tells his tale and the reason behind his behaviour.

Renguko is remembered again, and he is among one of those remembered in the episode. Thus, it won't be wrong to say that this episode is filled with nostalgia.

Tanjiro and his stupid ideas brighten up tense moments. Thus, laughter follows after heartwarming moments. This sets the perfect tone for the show.

Insect Hashira Shinobu Kocho already has a moment, and her interaction with Kanao brings about a cute moment. Shinobu's little sister, Flower Hashira Kanao Kocho, is mentioned. This leads to the show ending on a cliffhanger, but on a short note and with the focus only being on Giyu and Tanjiro. The post-credit scene is also about them and we can't complain too much, except for the fact that the episode's focus was only on them.

The post-credit song this time grows on you. It is the scenes that will leave you intrigued instead. The same seems to hint at something that is to come in the season.

Demon Slayer Hashira Training Arc episode 2 Verdict:

The second episode of Demon Slayer Hashira Training Arc does not have much to offer except nostalgia and Giyu-Tanjiro’s bond. It is literally the only focus of the episode. Even though a good watch, Demon Slayer has seen better. This is just one of the mildly fun episodes.
