She accessorized with statement jewelry, including a cross pendant, and a ruby-and-diamond choker, paired with a stack of matching bracelets with black leather gloves. She tied her hair in a sleek bun and completed her look with a statement headband and black-framed glasses.

Her look reminded fans of Rekha who is known for her unique style. They took to social media and demanded Deepika to play Rekha's biopic.

Deepika Padukone to resume work with Kalki 2

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh welcomed baby Dua in September 2024. Deepika is yet to resume work. Recently, the makers of Kalki 2 hinted at the actress' possibility of returning to work.

On her birthday, the makers of Kalki 2898 AD shared a heartfelt message celebrating their leading lady and hinted at her return to the sets for Kalki 2 soon. The makers wrote, "Wishing our Sum-80, the beautiful @deepikapadukone a very happy birthday. You've truly brought magic to #Kalki2898AD May your year be as amazing as you are!” The video ended with a message saying, "See you soon on the sets," hinting Deepika will join the team soon.

Meanwhile, Kalki 2898 AD is a futuristic film set in the year 2898. The plot revolves around the anticipated birth of Kalki, the prophesied savior, with the main character, Sum-80 (played by Deepika Padukone), believed to be the mother of Kalki. The story features a complex interplay between the forces of good and evil, with characters like Amitabh Bachchan's immortal Ashwatthama protecting Sum-80 from the villain Yaskin (Kamal Haasan), while incorporating elements from the Mahabharata with characters like Karna (played by Prabhas).
