Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh made their first public appearance hours after announcing they are expecting their first baby in September 2024

Deepika Padukone made her first public appearance since announcing that she is pregnant. Deepika and Ranveer Singh took to their Instagram to share the good news with the world. The couple was now welcomed at the Mumbai airport with flowers and sweets. The appearance happens hours after the announcement.

Deepika and Ranveer appeared at the Mumbai airport wearing matching white outfits. While she was seen in a white sweater with white gown, he donned a white t-shirt with white denims and a matching white cap. They both donned sunglasses for the look.

Receive flowers and sweets

The appearance was their first since the pregnancy announcement. For the same, the couple received flowers and sweets. Deepika took the flowers and the mithai as well. She shared half of it with her husband. Before leaving, Deepika handed Ranveer the bouquet and like a darling husband, he took it from her. The two held hands and occasionally greeted others before heading to the airport. Ranveer initiated the greeting and Deepika appeared to be avoiding people.

The pregnancy announcement

Deepika and Ranveer confirmed the rumours as they finally announced that they are expecting their first baby on the morning of Thursday, February 29. The newborn will see this world in September 2024. The couple shared the same through their Instagram post. They posted the image with background of baby clothes, shoes, hat and heart balloons. Deepika is currently in her second trimester. Of course, soon after the announcement, everybody rushed to congratulate their favourite couple, DeepVeer. Deepika had hinted at her pregnancy to Vogue Singapore. She said that both she and Ranveer love children and thus, they were looking forward to the day they would start their own family. The couple got married on November 14, 2018 and celebrated their fifth anniversary last year in Belgium.
