Decoupled is expected to be a visual treat for the fans of Madhavan, for we will get to see another shade of the romantic star with his quirky side. The series marks his debut on Netflix. The upcoming rom-com is about a couple, played by him and Surveen Chawla, who fall out of love but are forced to stay married as they have a child together. The drama is expected to have funny banters between the two that will leave the audience in splits. Let’s see what else the show has in store for us.
What is the story of Decoupled?
The upcoming web series revolves around a couple who have fallen out of love but try to navigate around their failed marriage and stay together for the sake of their daughter. What started out as a decision of a divorce will ultimately see them exploring other options for their marriage that are hilarious and absurd.
What makes Decoupled an offbeat love story?
For one, it is one of those rare moments where we get to see Madhavan shed his ‘lover boy and chocolate boy’ image and attempt to portray more of a quirky adult who has lost hope in marriage and love and is attempting to foray more into other kinds of relationships. Along with Surveen Chawla in the series, their love for each other will be witnessed as they try to make an arrangement in their ‘inconvenient marriage’ that involves foraying into concepts like open marriages and more.
Who are the cast and crew of Decoupled?
Helmed by Hardik Mehta, the offbeat love story also features Sonia Rathee, Aseem Hattangady, Apara Mehta, Sreshta Banerjee, Navneet Singh Kohli and Himanee Bhatia among others in pivotal roles. Written and created by Manu Joseph, the web series is backed by Bombay Fables and Andolan Production.
