The 2nd season of Loki ended with the titular character gaining mastery over his time-travelling abilities, enabling him to traverse specific points in time, whether out of necessity or mere desire.
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon
Hiddleston marked the inaugural guest on this season of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, which started with the discussion of current projects following the resolution of the 118-day actors' strike on Wednesday. Embracing this opportunity, Fallon delved into the show's finale with Hiddleston, carefully avoiding spoilers.
What was the question of Jimmy?
However, towards the end of the episode, Jimmy asked a tricky question to Hiddleston to share his thoughts on a few fan-made theories about Marvel movies. He asked that since Loki knows how to time-slip now, so can he go and find out about Iron Man?, to which Tom jokingly replied, “This guy. This is investigative journalism right here! I mean, time-slipping technically gives Loki some interesting moves he can make.”

Hiddleston acknowledged Loki's ability to travel through time, allowing him to revisit points in the past, present, and future. This opens up the possibility of encountering deceased characters like Tony Stark and Natasha Romanoff while they were still alive. However, Tom also expressed some hesitation when discussing the concept of death within the Marvel universe, as the franchise has a history of resurrecting characters after their demise. This suggests that the return of fallen heroes remains a possibility.
Hiddleston teases fans
“Speaking for myself, Loki’s died a few times. I’m still here. I don’t know that death is necessarily, I mean death is….death is up for grabs, as an existential question! That’s all I can give you!", Tom lastly added.
