Dear Vaapi, which is directed by Shan Thulaseedharan, also has Niranj Maniyanpilla Raju
Composer Kailas once again weaves his magic in director Shan Thulaseedharan’s Dear Vaapi. The first track from the movie was released recently and it had all the trademark elements of the Jeevamshamayi composer.
The song, written by Manu Manjith, also offered the first glimpse of the movie starring Lal, Niranj Maniyanpilla Raji and Anagha Narayanan. Rendered by Sanah Moidutty, the song’s visuals also takes the audience to the world of Dear Vaapi, which explores the relationship between a father and daughter – played by Lal and Anagha, respectively.
Lal essays the character of a tailor named Basheer while Anagha plays a model named Ameera in the movie, which also has Maniyanpilla Raju, Jagadeesh, Niramal Palazhi, Sunil Sukhada, Sivaji Guruvayoor, Neena Kurup, Ranjith Sekhar and Abhiram. The film is gearing up for its theatrical release soon.
Dear Vappi team held a star-studded audio launch in Kochi recently that was attended by noted directors such as B Unnikrishnan. Shaan had previously helmed the Indrajith Sukumaran-starrer Anuradha Crime No. 59/2019, which is yet to release.
Anagha’s latest movie Aanandham Paramaanandham, which is helmed by Shafi and had Indrans and Sharafudheen, is currently running in theatres. The film revolves around a retired postman, whose alcoholism puts a strain on his relationship between his wife and daughter. After a Gulf returnee, who is equally addicted to alcohol, falls for his daughter, things begin to sour between the two. The comedy entertainer is scripted by Muthirivalikal Thalirkumbol writer M Sindhuraj.
Meanwhile, Niranj has an upcoming release this week with Kakkipada. The film, which is directed by Shebi Chowhat, is a socio-political drama that also has Appani Sarath, Sujith Shankar and Aradhya Ann as part of its cast. The movie is set to hit theatres on December 30 along with Unni Mukundan’s entertainer Malikkapuram, Soubin Shahir’s psychological drama Djinn and Omar Lulu’s stoner comedy Nalla Samayam.
