The romance between Abhimanyu and Asmita is dead.
Story:
Abhimanyu wants to make things right with Asmita. Will she accept him back? Will things go his way?
Review:
Dear Ishq commences with, no guesses, glimpses of Mumbai. It is followed from where episode 58 ended – with Sehban Azim’s Abhimanyu Razdan giving Kishwer Merchant’s Maya a shock. Nothing new here, boys and girls.
Puneet Tejwani’s Peter gives an epic expression on hearing the news. Kishwer, as expected, is awesome in her role.
Niyati Fatnani’s Asmita Roy tries to be good in her role and the music does help her but only a little. The intense and extreme music does the opposite.
Just when Abhimanyu and Asmita get together in a scene, is when the makers switch that scene. With glimpses of Mumbai. Again. If you thought that was the end, wait for it. Abhimanyu Razdan’s nameplate gets a re-entry too.
Sehban is introduced again through the scene and with it, Niyati is too. They both work well.
Buneet Kapoor’s Shauvik has an interesting entry. What follows, is just the opposite though. This is ruined by more glimpses of Mumbai.
Sehban and Niyati perform well in the roles of Abhimanyu and Asmita. He, of course, has a better role than her.
There’s a scene following that which keeps you at the edge-of-your-seat. It is almost well executed.
On the other hand, Asmita and Abhimanyu’s love story no longer attracts you. That is ironic, since the show is supposed to be all about Dear Ishq.
After the dead romance, it is time for mystery. While Buneet performs his scene well, the music does not help him. His actions and overall performance work well for the episode.
Verdict:
The performances do go better with this episode. However, the romance in Dear Ishq is dead. The mystery, on the other hand, works wonders. Buneet Kapoor is the highlight of this particular episode.
