Dear Ishq is finally worth viewing.
Story:
The first chapter of Abhimanyu’s book is ready and is now waiting to be packaged correctly. Can Asmita help with that?
Review:
The makers of Dear Ishq have started a new trend but a good one. They introduce what will come in the episode so you have an idea. This time, we see Niyati Fatnani’s Asmita Roy be her clumsy self and Sehban Azim’s Abhimanyu Razdan is the hero who saves our damsel-in-distress.
Moving on, the episode begins with Asmita still lovestruck with Abhimanyu. She keeps waiting for him while he is busy talking to Kishwer Merchant’s Maya and Puneet Tejwani’s Peter. The music does not help the scene and neither do her expressions. There is a constant discomfort as you get creep vibes from both of them.
Sugandh Dhindaw’s Bani is introduced with the same music as always. Boring! This time, Roma Bali’s Nita and Sanjeev Seth’s Raman aka Abhimanyu’s parents accompany her.
Kishwer does well in her role again. Niyati does well in her role too, as much as she can, given her limited scope with the role.
Beena Banerjee and Jyoti Mukherji as Asmita’s grandmom-mom are cute as always. Their reaction for Asmita though, is a little over the edge.
Puneet has an important role this time. However, that is for a brief moment. This scene creates tension for sure.
Like always, the music doesn’t help the scenes. Asmita glamming up is also hyped on the show which is not even worth the focus it gets.
Kunal Verma as Rizwan Khan is mediocre in his role this time around. So is Vikas Grover, who plays his boyfriend Anirban.
Asmita and Abhimanyu’s exchange is hilarious but the message barely comes across. The real deal is when Asmita talks about Abhimanyu’s book. However, since that is all only lip movement after a point, it keeps lingering for slightly more than needed.
Verdict:
Dear Ishq has finally hit the right spot. The show has almost negligible dumb scenes in this episode which is a great progress. Hopefully it continues that way.
