Dear Ishq is finally worth watching, well slightly.
Story:
Asmita chooses Shauvik over Abhimanyu. The writer is now out for revenge.
Review:
Dear Ishq is back and how do you know it is back? With Abhimanyu Razdan’s nameplate. Duh!
Sehban Azim’s Abhimanyu Razdan makes an entry soon into the episode, thankfully. It is a continuation from where the last episode ended. Of course, it’s not without dramatization.
Niyati Fatnani’s Asmita Roy and Buneet Kapoor as Shauvik are back but only for a glimpse. Thank God for that! The focus is back on Abhimanyu and we cannot be more thankful, given what the show offers otherwise.
The two stories flashing parallelly works well. And of course, just when you think everything is going smooth, the glimpses of Mumbai are back!
Tanya Sharma as Shalini raises suspicion. So does Simran Raval as Arya. The latter does more, actually.
Thank God for Abhimanyu, he makes the show worth watching! This time, there’s a mole in Paperink. It is actually pretty dumb that someone with a black mask and outfit comes into Asmita’s office, gets all the info and leaves without anybody noticing. But can you even expect sense from this series now? Moving on, Asmita continues to pull the energy down.
Kishwer Merchant’s Maya is barely in the frame this time but she does her best nonetheless.
Beena Banerjee as Asmita’s grandmother has a great scene. It is one of the better scenes offered to Asmita.
The music, like always, does not work in the show. It does not add to the scenes, even a bit.
Kunal Verma as Rizwan Khan has a more fun role this time. His scene with Vikas Grover’s Anirban is briefly entertaining.
The fantasy scene this time is slightly better but is cut short. In fact, Asmita’s overacting is used to switch scenes this time. It is fab but only for the standard of the show.
Puneet Tejwani as Peter is back. Thankfully, he has a good scene this time. He is interrupted by Abhimanyu on time and we can’t be more thankful. He definitely has a great entry but at the expense of Asmita. Not cool.
Verdict:
Finally, Dear Ishq opens up some layers and it is slightly more interesting. The show does get slightly intriguing and hopefully, it will stay that way.
