Dear Ishq was picking up the same pace and tone till the last scene.
Story:
Asmita and Abhimanyu start working together. What will that result in?
Review:
Dear Ishq, thankfully, commences where the last episode ended. Sehban Azim’s Abhimanyu Razdan is instantly his badass self. Niyati Fatnani in the role of Asmita Roy, on the other hand, is still mild.
Kishwer Merchant as Maya barely makes an impression, which can be said the same for Puneet Tejwani’s Peter. The two are same as always and so are Abhimanyu-Asmita.
Tanya Sharma as Shalini is her same self. She gets little rude, which is more Asmita style.
Abhimanyu-Asmita’s story should look fun but is barely there. The music, obviously, doesn’t help. Of course, the scene goes numb and the focus is on the love story, with a love that did not get its time to grow.
Abhimanyu is barely impressive this time and the same can be said for Asmita. He gets better in his role but she is still not there. They have a cute moment which is the highlight of the episode.
Buneet Kapoor as Shauvik is still the same. He tries to be cute but ends up looking suspicious.
Roma Bali as Abhimanyu’s mother has more to her role than an appearance this time. She is almost an interesting watch, since she promises to be the villain of the show.
Kunal Verma as Rizwan Khan is good in his role. He doesn’t have much to do this time but with what he has, the actor is good.
The episode ends on a good note, unlike the previous ones. Finally, there’s some progress.
Verdict:
Dear Ishq sees some progress in justifying its title. Finally, there’s love and the genuine kind over the forced one.
