The film, which was released on July 26, 2024, is about to complete two months in theaters and is still performing well at the box office. With ambitions to surpass Barbie in domestic earnings, Deadpool & Wolverine has already crossed the $1.3 billion mark globally, becoming one of the most profitable ventures and revitalizing the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) once again. Now, there's buzz about the film’s digital release for purchase, and the date being discussed is quite intriguing. Find out more below.

Deadpool & Wolverine To Be Available for Digital Purchase?

While the box office continues to be a hot topic, fans have also been eagerly discussing the digital release of Deadpool & Wolverine. Initially, given the movie's successful run, it was rumored that the digital release would be delayed, though there were no confirmations. However, a new rumor suggests when the movie will be available for digital purchase, specifically for on-demand streaming (not a digital premiere).

According to the official Instagram handle of MCU Direct the buzz is that Deadpool & Wolverine will be available for purchase soon. The rumor suggests the film will be available for rent starting Tuesday, October 1. However, this date seems a bit curious, considering that Agatha All Along is premiering the same week and will continue dropping episodes through Halloween. This means that if Deadpool & Wolverine is released on October 1, it will clash with one of the episodes by just a day.

As of now, there’s no confirmation whether Deadpool & Wolverine will be available for rent in India starting October 1. In the past, movies like The Marvels have dropped for purchase on Amazon Prime Video in India, where the Brie Larson starrer is still available for rent. Additionally, titles like Madame Web and Spider-Man: No Way Home are also available on rent on Prime Video.

Is Deadpool 4 Happening?

It’s no surprise that Marvel Studios would want to make more Deadpool films, especially after the massive success of Deadpool & Wolverine the highest-grossing R-rated movie to date. So, is Deadpool 4 already in the works? While there have been rumors that discussions are underway, a recent report from Comic Book Movie has denied this possibility, revealing that while the studio will eventually return to The Merc with a Mouth and friends, it's not happening just yet.
