Deadpool 3 would have brought back Hugh Jackman as Wolverine
Deadpool is one of the most awaited movies of all times. Thus, when the film is removed from schedule of its release, it is bound to make many unhappy. That is exactly what happened with Deadpool 3. Deadpool, which has been one of fans’ favourite franchise, might take a long time to release.
Why Deadpool 3 is special
Deadpool 3 is special for more reasons than one. The film brings back X-Men into MCU. Thus, it also marked Hugh Jackman’s comeback as Wolverine. However, here comes some bad news as Disney released its schedule but did not include Deadpool 3 in it. This has left the fans disappointed. The list was released by ComicBook.com. The reason for the delay is speculated to be the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. For the uninitiated, a few days into shooting the film, the actors started a strike against director Shawn Levy’s film. The production had to be shut down till the conflict was resolved.
Who all are a part of Deadpool 3?
Stefan Kapicic, Morena Baccarin, Karan Soni, Brianna Hildebrand, Leslie Uggams, Zazie Beetz and Shiori Kutsuna are a part of the Marvel film. Matthew Macfayden and Emma Corrin make their debut in MCU through the movie. Apart from them, Deadpool 3 also sees Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier, Ian McKellen as Magneto, Jennifer Garner as Elektra, Jessica Alba as Sue Storm and Halle Berry as Storm.
Deadpool 3 initial release date
Deadpool 3 was supposed to release in May, 2024. The film is, however, pushed beyond the schedule, if what published is correct.
Interestingly enough, Deadpool 3 wasn’t the only film which was missing from the schedule. Hawkeye spin-off Echo was also missing from the list. It was scheduled to release in November, through Disney+ OTT platforms. It would have been the first from MCU on the platform to release all of its episodes at once.
