De De Pyaar De 2 release date revealed! Find out when you can watch Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh's film

The release date of De De Pyaar De 2 has been revealed today. Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Luv Ranjan, and Ankur Garg will produce the film.

There's good news for Ajay Devgn and his fans. As per an official statement, it has been confirmed that his film De De Pyaar De 2 will be released in theatres on May 1, 2025. The shooting of the film will commence in June. The comedy-drama is being directed by Anshul Sharma and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Luv Ranjan, and Ankur Garg. Furthermore, Tarun Jain and Luv Ranjan have written the storyline of the entertainer.

According to a report published by Pinkvilla, the shooting for De De Pyaar De 2 will begin in June 2024 after Ajay Devgn wraps up the shoot for Singham Again and Raid 2. The movie aims to recreate the same blend of romance, humour, and music as its prequel. Devgn, eager to return to the comedy genre after a break, is excited to dive back into the alluring world of De De Pyaar De, said the report.

What was De De Pyaar De about?

De De Pyaar De was a commercial success in the year 2019, earning over Rs 150 crore at the box office globally. Taking inspiration from the film’s success, the makers of the project decided to create the film into a franchise by coming out with a sequel soon.

But before the sequel details take over the internet, let us remind you that De De Pyaar De was a romantic comedy film by Luv Ranjan and directed by Akiv Ali in his debut. Ajay Devgn, Tabu, and Rakul Preet Singh starred in it. The film’s storyline follows a character named Ashish (Devgn), a middle-aged NRI soon-to-be divorcé, who plans to marry Ayesha (Singh), a much younger woman. Trouble arises when Ayesha encounters Ashish's family, including his would-be ex-wife Manju (Tabu) and their children, Ishika and Ishaan.

Only time will tell whether the sequel to De De Pyaar De will be declared a hit or not.
