What happened?

The actor denied the molestation charges and said that he held the girl’s hand to guide her around the lake. She alleged that he forcibly gave her a hug while hiking in August 2017 and kissed her on the cheek in September. The prosecutors alleged that Yeong-Su expressed his lust while drinking with the alleged victim in 2017. The actor reportedly texted the 22-year-old and claimed that she is like a daughter to him. On February 2, he said, “It's difficult for me to stand before the court at my age. I feel like my life is ruined due to the fact that this is how I'll end my life. I ask you to make a wise ruling.”

O Yeong-Su’s career

O Yeong-Su has won Golden Globes for his role of Oh Il-Nam in Squid Game. He bagged an award for being the Best Supporting Actor, thus becoming the first Korean actor to get that award. He started his acting career in 1963 with theatre. It is unlikely that he would make a return in the second season of Squid Game.
