Dasvi: Amitabh Bachchan comments on Abhishek's post about his 'sexy Haryanvi accent'

Dasvi, which was released on Netflix and Jio Cinemas, also stars Yami Gautam and Nimrat Kaur.

The social comedy drama Dasvi has been the talk of the town ever since it was released on OTT platforms, Netflix and Jio Cinemas. The film has been heaping praises for its subject matter and performances of the cast that includes Abhishek Bachchan, Nimrat Kaur and Yami Gautam. Bachchan has been winning the hearts of the people for his role as an uneducated chief minister, Gangaram Chaudhary, and especially, his Haryanvi accent.

The actor recently took to social media to share a character image from the film, where he is seen wearing a green turban and giving a sexy look and wrote: "My face when they say, "Your Haryanvi accent is so sexy!". His father and legendary actor, Amitabh Bachchan has now responded to his post.

Senior Bachchan agreed that his accent is sexy and so is his dress. "Hahahaha .. super .. it is and so is the dress .. love ❤️," he wrote. His sister, Shweta Bachchan too commented on the post, recalling the popular line of Phoebe from the epic TV show, Friends. She wrote in her comment: "My eyes, my eyes."

Directed by Tushar Jalota, the film Dasvi revolves around the story of Gangaram (Bachchan) who is imprisoned for his involvement in a scam case. Handing over his chair to his wife on an interim basis while he is in the prison, he decides to utilise his time to earn his high school diploma.

Dasvi was released on April 7 on the streaming platforms and has been in the top 10 position on Netflix since. The film also features Nimrat Kaur, Yami Gautam, Shivam Roy Prabhakar, Manu Rishi Chadha, Arun Kushwaha, Shivankit Singh Parihar, and Sumit Shekhar Rai.
