The composer-singer-turned-actor is back with his trademark hook lines and dance moves in Dash Song
Chandan Shetty is currently busy shooting for his second acting venture Suthradaari, a gritty whodunnit thriller in which he plays a police officer. He also dons the hat of the film's music composer and the first track from the album was launched recently - titled Dash Song, the latest single is every bit the party anthem that Chandan Shetty fans have been waiting for.
Dash Song also features the popular Kannada-Telugu actress Sanjana Anand and the main highlight of the track is the chemistry between Sanjana and Chandan Shetty, who has also written the lyrics of the song. One can find a stark Persian vibe in both the melody of the song and the music video.
And what does 'Dash' in Dash Song mean? Chandan Shetty, the lyricist, reveals that listeners are meant to themselves fill in the blanks or the dash and merrily add their own impression to the song.
Previously, popular Kannada actresses like Aindrita Ray, Rachita Ram, and Nishvika Naidu have featured in Chandan Shetty's music videos. Some of Shetty's most popular songs are 3 Peg, Chocolate Girl, Laka Laka Lambargini, and Party Freak, among others.
As far as his acting career is concerned, Chandan Shetty made his acting debut in Sujay Shastry's Elra Kaaleliyatte Kaala, a retro slice-of-life comedy-drama also starring Archana Kottige, Tara Anuradha, Mandya Ramesh, Manju Pavagada, Dattanna, and others. Shetty's second film Suthradaari, on the other hand, is starkly different to his debut outing and will feature him in a buffed look to fit into the role of a tough police officer.
Suthradaari has been written and directed by Kiran Kumar R with Navarasan producing it. Along with Chandan Shetty, the film also stars Apurva, Tabla Nani, Prashanth Natana, and Pallavi Vandhana Kavya.
