Dasara: Nanis reveals what made him say yes to director Srikanth Odela
Dasara is all set for a release on the 30th of this month and so much is being said about Srikanth Odela, the director. This is his first film and by looking at the trailer one cannot imagine that a newcomer has created such a different and hard-hitting film. Nani is all praise for Srikanth and the way he has extracted performances from his cast.
Speaking in an interview, Nani says that he gave Srikanth only one hour's time to narrate the story but ended up hearing four hours. The star hero also adds that Srikanth narrated the film with utmost sincerity and the best part was that he was not selling the project to him and genuinely narrating his story. That is when he decided Srikanth has the capacity to make Dasara on a massive scale.
Srikanth Odela is a very silent person by nature and does not talk much. But he was a tough taskmaster on the sets of Dasara says Nani. "He exactly knows his story and how his actors need to perform on set. No one on the set felt that it was Srikanth's first film of his career" says Nani. Keerthy Suresh plays the female lead in this film.
When asked why she is not being highlighted much, Nani says "Even her role has a specialty, and only after watching the film one will understand". Coming to the promotions, as she is busy with Bholaa Shankar, Keerthy is not present at the promotions says, Nani. Sudhakar Chrukuri produced this film which has music by Santosh Narayan. Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko is playing the main villain in Dasara.
