Nivetha Pethuraj played the female lead in the film directed by Vishwak Sen and produced by Karate Raju
Vishwak Sen, who entered films with the relationship drama Vellipomakey, made his directorial debut with Falaknuma Das, the Telugu remake of the Malayalam gangster saga Angamaly Diaries. He decided to wield the megaphone again with another action thriller, Das Ka Dhamki, in which he played a double role. Nivetha Pethuraj was paired opposite Vishwak in the film.
The film, upon its theatrical release on March 22, opened to good reviews from critics and performed commercially well. Telugu OTT platform aha acquired its post-theatrical streaming rights. The streamer announced its OTT premiere on Thursday. Das Ka Dhamki will land on aha this April 14. It was produced by Vishwak’s father Karate Raju under Vanmayee Creations, Vishwaksen Cinemas.

The story is centred on Krishna Das, an orphan who works as a waiter in a plush hotel and leads a content life with his friends despite his mounting financial woes. He poses as a rich industrialist to Keerthi, his customers at a hotel. However, when he tries every trick in the book to woo Keerthi, Das is entangled in a deeper mess. He, now, needs to step into the shoes of a lookalike, a medical researcher Sanjay Rudra, to guard the future of an organisation.
The supporting cast of the film comprises Rao Ramesh, Rohini Molleti, Shaurya Kare, Ajay, Hyper Aadi, Mahesh Achanta, Bheeshma Chethan, Prudhvi Raj, Rajitha, Murali Goud, Kadambari Kiran, Amith Sharma, Surya Kumar, Duvvasi Mohan, Lakshmi Hussain, Pooja Reddy, Prabhu Dumbo, Santosh Babu, Sree Vathsa, Ahana, Rati Hulji besides Akshara Gowda and Pranati Rai Prakash.
With story by Prasanna Kumar Bezawada, the film was edited by Anwar Ali. A Ramanjaneyulu is the art director while Todur Lazarov Juji, Venkat and Rama Krishnan are the stunt directors. Yash Master and Sathish Krishnan choreographed the numbers composed by Leon James. Kasarla Shyam, Purna Chary are the lyricists for the album.
