Daredevil: Born Again and Agatha All Along Updates

The world has been busily tracking every possible update about the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it is getting difficult with the studio working at speed on so many exciting projects. Over the past few months, two shows that have become some of the most anticipated ones across the globe have been Daredevil: Born Again and Agatha All Along. The two shows are all set to bring a new set of characters to the MCU, and the stakes have been a lot higher than usual. While most of what we know about their plots is hearsay and rumors, it turns out we finally have an executive talking about them. Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios' Head of Marvel Streaming, Television, and Animation, has now revealed the nature of both shows, and you aren't ready.

Agatha All Along Is Scary?

Well, Agatha All Along has gone through three title changes, if not more, and that itself has ended up piquing the curiosity of viewers as to what exactly the studio has been cooking. Technically, this is a sequel to WandaVision and will be exploring the future of Agatha after she is trapped in Westview as Agnes. The show is set to even include Wanda’s son Wiccan and bring him to the MCU. But now we hear that it will be scary and quite dramatic. Read on to know everything you should about the same.

In his latest conversation with The Marvel Podcast, Brad Winderbaum teased a whole lot of things, and they also included Agatha All Along’s vibe. Brad said, "Agatha is really fun, but it's really scary, and it gets quite dramatic. She's an amazing anti-hero, and that show is... it lures you in with the fun of Halloween, and before you know it, you're crying." When asked exactly how scary the show will be, he added, "It's a Marvel brand of scary. It's a Halloween show. There are deadly stakes in the series. It's a fun ride, but it's a dangerous one."

Daredevil: Born Again Is No Longer Just Vigilantism

Daredevil: Born Again marks the revival of Charlie Cox’s MarvelXNetflix show but is also a completely different entity. While the Netflix show was more about combat and high on adrenaline, the MCU version will have a nuanced storytelling. With Wilson Fisk now being the Mayor, there will not be a physical battle between the two, and the Man Without Fear will have to use his brains over muscles. "Daredevil is incredible. It's similar in some ways to X-Men '97 because it's reviving something that the fans love, but it's taking it in a new direction. These characters have matured. The universe is different than it was. Things have changed, and society has changed."

Brad Winderbaum also went on to tease how the characters in Born Again have changed and that it is going to be a whole game of politics. "Matt and Wilson have changed, and their characters are going to collide in ways we haven't seen before," Winderbaum revealed. "It's no longer enough to try and murder each other; there's a whole game of politics at play."

Daredevil has been slated to release in March 2025, and Agatha All Along will hit Disney+ on September 18, 2024. Stay tuned to OTTplay for more information on this and everything else from the world of streaming and films.
