Dangal actress Suhani Bhatnagar’s mother said that they had not informed Aamir Khan about their daughter’s ailment

Yesterday, almost the whole of Bollywood came to a standstill with the shocking news about the sudden and extremely untimely demise of Suhani Bhatnagar, the child actor who had played the role of younger Babita Phogat in the superhit Dangal, which starred Aamir Khan in the leading role.

Although initially, when the news about the sudden death of Suhani Bhatnagar broke out, the reason of her death was not exactly known. It was only later it came to light that Suhani was suffering from an ailment called dermatomyositis. Suhani Bhatnagar’s mother had revealed in a recent interview that they had not informed Aamir Khan about Suhani’s health condition.

Suhani Bhatnagar’s mother Pooja Bhatnagar speaks about her daughter

In a recent interview with ANI, Suhani Bhatnagar’s mother Pooja Bhatnagar said that they had not shared her daughter’s health condition with anyone, including Aamir Khan. Speaking of Aamir Khan, Pooja Bhatnagar said that he (Aamir Khan) had always been in touch with them and that he was a nice person. She added that they had not informed Aamir sir as they themselves were so much disturbed that they did not want to tell anyone.

"Aamir Khan had bonded well with Suhani from the beginning itself"

In the same interview, Pooja Bhatnagar said that Aamir Khan, who had bonded well with Suhani from the beginning itself, would immediately respond and personally call them if they sent him a text message. She also revealed that Aamir Khan had invited them for his daughter Ira Khan’s wedding, but they could not go for the wedding as Suhani was recovering from a fracture.

As for Suhani, Pooja Bhatnagar said that, even though she went onto do some print ad shoots after the huge success of Dangal, studies remained her top priority. Both Pooja Bhatnagar and her daughter Suhani had agreed upon to finish her graduation studies first and then follow her passion for acting. Whilst on the topic of Suhani and her academics, Pooja Bhatnagar revealed that she was a student (a bright one at that) of Journalism and Mass Communication and had even topped the last semester.
