A recent report suggests that Daisy Shah and Sharib Hashmi starrer The Ghost of Gandhi has landed in trouble, making the producers stage a walkout.

In August 2023, it was announced that actress Daisy Shah and actor Sharib Hashmi would headline the forthcoming web series titled 'The Ghost of Gandhi'. The narrative was expected to be centered around a female journalist portrayed by Daisy, with Sharib assuming the role of a social activist. This upcoming web series promised to provide a fresh perspective on Mahatma Gandhi, engaging in historical discourse while delivering a compelling blend of entertainment and profound social messages. While fans of the project eagerly wait for the creation of the project, the latest report suggests that The Ghost of Gandhi has landed in trouble, making the producers stage a walkout.

Is The Ghost of Gandhi postponed?

A report published by Hindustan Times today believed that the web series’ producers Sofia Agarwal, Three Arrows production, and Seeta Films don’t want to be associated with The Ghost of Gandhi due to reasons best known to them. “They have walked out of the show but the reason behind it has not been revealed yet. Hence, it has been postponed for an indefinite period,” the report read.

The report additionally mentioned that Manish Kishore, the director of The Ghost of Gandhi, is not keeping well on the health front. “Manish was on the ventilator a month ago due to a heart attack. He is now out of danger and recovering but is still not feeling the best currently,” read the HT report.

Did Daisy Shah drop a cryptic Instagram Story amid such news?

Amid such unexpected news developments about The Ghost of Gandhi; Daisy Shah has dropped a cryptic message on her Instagram Story today which read, “Drink water. Moisturize your skin. Eat some juicy fruits. Take long walks. Exercise and breathe. Speak your feelings. Mind your business. Learn new things. Understand. Forgive and heal.”

Only time will tell when the project will see the light of the day.
