Daaku Maharaaj OTT release delayed: The digital version was supposed to be out on February 9, 2025, but it did not happen. Balakrishna plays the main lead in this film, directed by Bobby Kolli.

Daaku Maharaaj is Balakrishna's latest film, directed by Bobby Kolli, and it has turned out to be a big hit at the box office. We at OTTplay had earlier revealed that Daaku Maharaaj was set to stream on February 9, 2025. However, that did not happen, and fans are eagerly waiting for the film to land on Netflix, which acquired the digital rights for a hefty price.

Daaku Maharaaj OTT release update

According to a source from the film’s team, Daaku Maharaaj will not be available for streaming until March 4, 2025, as the makers have made a pact with Netflix to hold off the OTT release until the film completes 50 days in theaters. The film is still running in a few theaters and has amassed close to Rs 87 crore net, which is a decent figure.

Bobby Kolli directed the film on a massive scale, with Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainments backing the project. Initially, reports suggested that Netflix paid big bucks for an early OTT release, but a last-minute change in the deal has now delayed its streaming debut to early March 2025.

Speculations galore regarding Daaku Maharaaj OTT release date

However, a section of social media is speculating that Daaku Maharaaj might land on Netflix this Valentine's Day, February 14, 2025. Although this news is not yet confirmed, it has gone viral online.

Balakrishna delivered a power-packed performance in the film, appearing in a crazy avatar, while Thaman’s background score elevated the film’s intensity to the next level. Shraddha Srinath and Chandini Chowdary played key roles, with Pragya Jaiswal as the female lead.

The film was also released in Hindi, but it failed to perform well and ended up as a massive flop at the box office. As of now, Balakrishna is currently shooting for his next film, Akhanda 2, directed by Boyapati Sreenu. Recently, the makers filmed a few scenes at the ongoing Kumbh Mela 2025.
