Directed by SS Sajjan, the film is a social drama set in the 80s
It was only weeks ago that director-producer D Satya Prakash (of Rama Rama Re and Ondalla Eradalla fame) launched his distribution wing – Satya Cine Distributions. At the time, Satya had explained the rationale behind it. “For filmmakers like me, who make independent cinema, the focus is on content and not star power, so there won’t be a popular name who can be the face of the project and help market it. The biggest challenge for an independent filmmaker is not the actual making, but the process of getting it to theatres. For a while, I have been thinking about trying to understand the aspects of the business of a film once it is with a distributor and then I got some partners who supported my idea. The plan is to not only work out the distribution mechanism of our films, but to provide a platform for young independent filmmakers and give their movies an audience,” he had said.
It appears that Satya has now identified the first venture to kick start his journey in film distribution. “We are extremely delighted to announce that #SatyaCineDistributors is the official presenters of #FourWalls! As we embark on this new journey, we would like to wish Four Walls: Two Nighties all the best, and let's scale bigger heights together,” he posted about Four Walls, a film by director SS Sajjan, which has Achyuth Kumar in the lead.
According to reports quoting Sajjan, Four Walls: Two Nighties is a social drama about a father and his three grown-up daughters and a son and explores the social construct that expects homemakers to literally stay within the physical boundaries set by the walls of the house. Achyuth Kumar plays Shankaranna, the father in the tale that is set in the 80s. The film also stars Dattanna, Sujay Shastry, Bhaskar Ninasam, Shankar Murthy SR, Rachana, Raghu Ramakoppa, Pavithra, Anchal, Shreya Shetty, and Jhanvi Jyothi.
