Dhanush’s 50th film has got its official title! Check out the first-look poster from the gangster drama Raayan
Dhanush’s upcoming ambitious directorial D50 has finally got its title! The actor’s 50th film is now titled Raayan. The actor-director took to his social media pages to unveil the title and first-look poster of the film.
The riveting first-look poster features actor Dhanush in an intense avatar, donning a red shirt and a blood-splattered apron. Sporting a thick moustache and fade-cut hair, he is seen clutching a tool or weapon in his right palm. Behind him, actor Kalidas Jayaram is seen holding a knife, giving an intense look. Next to him, is actor Sundeep Kishan who appears to be a a butcher. Kalidas and Sundeep are seen in a food vehicle, while Dhanush stands in front. The intense first-look poster has caught everyone’s attention due to the action vibes it exudes. Overall, the film promises to be an intriguing gangster tale that the Captain Miller star is gearing up to serve us!
Unveiling the first-look poster, actor Kalidas Jayaram, who is playing a pivotal role in the film, took to Instagram to express his gratitude for working in Dhanush’s 50th film. The Vikram actor wrote, “The wait is finally over and I’m so excited to share with you guys a film that is very close to my heart.. RAAYAN. I’m so happy to be a part of Dhanush Sir’s 50th film, which he is also directing. From being an ardent admirer of his work to sharing screen space with him, this has been a dream come true. Let’s DIVE into the world of RAAYAN ! (sic)”.

As we had reported earlier, D 50, which is now Raayan, marks Dhanush’s second directorial venture after his directorial debut with the 2017 film Power Pandi. Raayan is the actor's 50th film. The film is touted to be a gangster action drama that is based on true events. Set in Vada Chennai (North Chennai), the film is speculated to follow the lives of three brothers. Dushara Vijayan, Kalidas Jayaram, Aparna Balamurali, Anikha Surendran and Sundeep Kishan will be seen playing prominent roles.
According to sources, Raayan is currently in its post-production stage and will most likely be released in theatres in April.
