Indian cinema has seen a number of movies about the story of aspiring filmmakers and actors. Here is a Kannada film that is about the life of an editor who aspires to make it big.

The makers of Cutting Shop have released the movie’s official trailer. The trailer starts off with the protagonist being told that a cheque he gave has bounced. We soon learn that he has issues with money and is an editor who is still at college.

While he still can’t find a bigtime job in what he loves, he deals with life doing whatever is thrown his way, including making a short film for his college as a reward for free attendance. The trailer shows glimpses of comedy and romance, all of which our hero goes through. The trailer also gives a look into the drama that often enters his life, with regards to shortage of money and hate from his family.

The trailer offers a look into a small movie that will have elements of entertainment, drama, romance and comedy. On his way trying to achieve his goals, his story will make for a fun and maybe an inspiring watch.

The movie’s makers had earlier released a short teaser for the movie back in March 2021.

Backed by Young Thinkers Films, the movie is helmed by Pavan Bhat. While K.B. Praveen takes the lead in this entertainer, the movie also features Archana Kottige, Naveen Krishna, S.K.Bhagavan, Vatsala Mohan, Deepak Bhat, Abhishek Savalagi, Nikhitha Dorthodi, Gurpur K Umesh and other in important roles.

Skanda Rathnam and Sagar B Ganesh are the cinematographer and editor respectively, while the movie’s music is handled by Praveen. The movie is set to hit theatres on May 20.
