The actor said that he was truly grateful that Ilaiyaraaja was composing for his film
Actor Naga Chaitanya called upon music maestro Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja soon after wrapping up the shoot for his upcoming film, Custody. It is to be noted that Custody has music by the maestro and Naga Chaitanya said that he just couldn't stop smiling while meeting the musician as his compositions took him through many journeys in life. The actor dropped a picture along with the musician on his social media handle, and captioned it, "Such a big smile on my face meeting the Maestro Ilaiyaraaja sir , his compositions took me through so many journeys in life .. so many times have I played out a scene in my head , pictured a script with his reference .. to now rajasir composing for #custody . Truly grateful !! (sic)."
It was only yesterday that the shoot for the film had been wrapped up and Naga Chaitanya had dropped a BTS video from the outdoor set. He had written ,"It’s a wrap for #Custody such a great time shooting with this amazing team @vp_offl @thearvindswami @iamkrithishetty @ilaiyaraaja @thisisysr @srinivasaaoffl @realsarathkumar #Priyamani #SampathRaj @SS_Screens #CustodyOnMay12 (sic)." Custody marks director Venkat Prabhu's debut in Telugu and interestingly, Naga Chaitanya's debut in Tamil. The film is a bilingual. An excited Venkat Prabhu had written that it was one hell of a rided. "That was on hellava ride brother!! Cant wait to show what we have done to ur fans and our audience!!! #excited #CustodyOnMay12 (sic)."
The film has an ensemble cast including Naga Chaitanya, Krithi Shetty, Arvind Swami, R Sarathkumar, Priyamani, Sampath Raj, Vennela Kishore, Premji, Premi Vishwanath and Ramki. Music for the film is by Ilaiyaraaja and Yuvan Shankar Raja. SR Kathir is handling the cinematography. The film is produced by Srinivasaa Silver Screen and is all set to hit screens in mid-summer on May 12.
