The Tollywood actor is eagerly looking forward to his Kollywood debut
Naga Chaitanya and Vijay
Venkat Prabhu's bilingual film Custody is hitting screens in Tamil and Telugu on Friday. The film marks the director's debut in Tollywood and lead actor Naga Chaitanya's debut in Kollywood. Billed as an action drama set in the 90s, the movie is the first preference among Tamil cinephiles this week.
The hilarious promo videos of the project have struck the right chord with the target audience and it looks like makers are quite confident in their product. The team has asserted that they made every shot which includes dialogues twice for the two versions.
In one of the recent media interactions in Chennai, Chaitanya has gone gaga over Thalapathy Vijay whose Leo is currently the most-awaited Tamil movie in 2023. Like everyone, he also seems to have been smitten by his dance moves. The Varisu star's swag is another aspect which he confesses to be a huge fan of.
According to him, the manner in which Vijay owns his characters and brings a different style to them is a treat to watch. He is all smiles while talking about his senior and shares a dream. "I want to watch him perform on set," he added.
Custody brings together Chaitanya and Krithi Shetty for the second time; the duo was seen together in Bangarraju which was released last year. Arvind Swami, Priyamani and Sarath Kumar play pivotal characters in the movie which has music composed by Ilaiyaraaja and Yuvan Shankar Raja.
The movie is the actor's release after almost a year; his last outing was Thank You. Venkat Prabhu, too, is coming up with a project after more than a year's hiatus. Manmadha Leelai was his previous release.
