Custody box office day one: Starts on a decent note, detailed collections here
Custody is Tollywood star Naga Chaitanya's latest action drama which has been released in both Tamil and Telugu on the 12th of May in a grand manner. Venkat Prabhu has directed this film which also had Krithi Shetty and Arvind Swamy in key roles. Ilayaraja and Yuvan Shankar Raja have composed the music for this film.
Well, the action drama has completed a day at the box office and has made four crores in both Tamil and Telugu. When compared to Tamil, the collections in Telugu are a tad better. Naga Chaitanya played a police constable for the first time in his career and also promoted the film on an aggressive note.
As the weekend is on, the film will find an audience at the ticketing windows. But the reviews and word of mouth is just average. So, we need to see how the film will fare in the days to come. Custody needs to make good money on the weekend otherwise, once the weekdays start, things will slow down for sure as per the trade.
Krithi Shetty also played a key role and this is her second film with Naga Chaitanya after Bangarraju. Arvind Swamy played the main villain and his role is being appreciated a lot. Custody is faring well in the multiplexes in cities like Hyderabad and Chennai. But that is not enough for the film to be in the safe zone. The next three days will be crucial for the film.
