Creators Pushkar-Gayatri overwhelmed by the response to Suzhal–The Vortex that streams on Amazon Prime Video

Suzhal–The Vortex, an Amazon original, is produced, written, and created by Pushkar and Gayatri and directed by Bramma, and Anucharan.

Filmmaker-duo Pushkar and Gayatri, who created the critically-acclaimed Suzhal–The Vortex, are overwhelmed by the response to the web series, not just from the audience, but also celebrities.

Actors Priyanka Chopra, Hrithik Roshan, Vicky Kaushal, and director SS Rajamouli, are among the scores of celebrities, who showered praise on the series, and Pushkar and Gayathri couldn't be any more grateful for the love and support they received from the Indian film fraternity.

Pushkar and Gayatri said, "The series is over six hours long, with eight episodes. But, all took the time to watch it and some binge-watched it too. I received messages about the same, and this was completely unexpected. We are bowled over by everyone's love. We thought it would happen over a week, not within a day or two of the show's release!"

Suzhal–The Vortex has been directed by Bramma of Kuttram Kadithal-fame and Anucharan of Kirumi-fame. Set in the backdrop of a masana kolai, a festival native to certain parts of South India, Suzhal–The Vortex intersperses myth with mystery.

Pushkar and Gayatri said, "We explored the characters to their fullest and have given each of them equal screen-time. What has worked in the pan-Indian market are stories that are firmly rooted in our time and space. It is amazing how people across the world are willing to see stuff from anywhere. The best international content is not just in English anymore."

The web series, which was released on June 17, features Kathir, Aishwarya Rajesh, and Sriya Reddy along with Radhakrishnan Parthiban in the lead.

With gripping twists and turns, Suzhal–The Vortex has a powerful message at the end of the narrative and has a relatability, appealing to the viewers across the world. The show also stars Nivedhithaa Sathish, Harish Uthaman, and Santhana Bharathi, among others, in important roles.
