While some were subtle, other Bollywood references in Crakk trailer were on the face
Vidyut Jammwal finally unveiled the trailer of his upcoming film Crakk – Jeetega Toh Jeeyegaa and it is all over the internet. From tapori style dialogues to visuals that feel like a warm embrace, the trailer has it all. And even though the trailer could feel inspired from the Korean series Squid Game, it has a completely different feel with tasks also being miles apart. It in fact has very evident and some very subtle references from Bollywood. From talking about the Rohit Shetty Cop Universe aka Singham, Simmba and Sooryavanshi to playing in the place called maidaan, there are many references to Bollywood films and songs. Here’s what we found…
RX 100
While we’re not sure if Vidyut chose the very bike for the same reason but it looks like a subtle hint about what is to come. Just like in the movie RX 100, where the hero goes to great lengths for who he loves, Vidyut does that in Crakk. We think that’s a hint.
Maidaan
Interestingly, the name chosen for the playground is maidaan, which is also Ajay Devgn’s upcoming movie. The film focuses on soccer while the maidaan in Crakk is for all kinds of games. There is in fact a song dedicated to the maidaan in Crakk.
Garmi
When introducing Nora Fatehi, Vidyut uses the popular phrase from her song, Garmi, from Street Dancer 3D. It is the scene where he asks her if she is from India or Poland and she replies with, “Out of your league.” Soon after, Vidyut blurts, “Haaye garmi.” For some reason, in a scene, Nora even repeats her look from that film.
The Rohit Shetty cop universe
Vidyut is seen talking about the Rohit Shetty cop universe towards the end of the trailer. He speaks of Singham, Simmba and Sooryavanshi coming together (in the universe). The actor is referring to Sooryavanshi as well as the upcoming Singham 3, where the trio of Singham (played by Ajay), Simmba (Ranveer Singh) and Sooryavanshi (Akshay Kumar) will be seen together.
