Rajinikanth is reportedly planning to drop some major updates, including the Coolie teaser and Jailer 2 announcement, on the special occasion of his 74th birthday.

Rajinikanth, the legendary superstar, is supremely busy in his acting career, with back-to-back promising projects in the pipeline. The veteran actor is currently busy with the filming of Coolie, the upcoming action thriller which marks his first collaboration with director Lokesh Kanagaraj. As per the latest updates, Rajinikanth is planning to drop some major updates on his upcoming projects, on December 12, 2024, on the special occasion of his 74th birthday.

Coolie teaser

According to the grapevine, Rajinikanth, director Lokesh Kanagaraj, and the team are all set to drop the long-awaited Coolie teaser, on December 12, 2024. As per the reports, the much-awaited first teaser of the action thriller will be dropped either at midnight, or morning, on the legendary superstar’s 74th birthday. Director Lokesh and his team are expected to wrap up the entire filming of the much-awaited project, by January 2025.

Jailer 2 announcement

As reported earlier, the Jailer 2 promo shoot is expected to go on floors in Chennai, on December 5, 2024. Director Nelson Dilipkumar and his team are planning to officially launch the Rajinikanth starrer, which is a sequel to their 2023-released blockbuster, Jailer, on the special occasion of the leading man’s 74th birthday. An official announcement on the same is expected to be released in a few days. The filming of Jailer 2 is expected to begin shortly after the superstar wraps up the shooting of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie.

Mani Ratnam, Mari Selvaraj projects announcement

The grapevine also suggest that Rajinikanth might team up with veteran filmmaker Mani Ratnam or talented filmmaker Mari Selvaraj, for his 173rd  and 174th outings in Tamil cinema. If things go as planned, one of these projects might get an official launch on the special occasion of the legendary superstar’s 74th birthday. In that case, it is safe to assume that Rajinikanth will have a highly exciting line-up for both 2025 and 2026.
