Coolie, the upcoming action thriller film features superstar Rajinikanth, in the lead role. The project, which marks the legend’s first onscreen collaboration with hitmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj, made headlines recently with the reports on its schedule wrap. The team recently completed the Vizag schedule of the film, which lasted for more than a month. As per the latest updates, Shruti Haasan, who plays a pivotal role in Coolie, has wrapped up her portions in the Rajinikanth starrer.

Recently, the popular actress took to her official social media handles and dropped a post, confirming that the Vizag schedule of the Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial is finished. However, the recent updates suggest that Shruti Haasan has already wrapped up the filming of her portions in Coolie. Recently, director Lokesh revealed that leading man Rajinikanth wrapped up his Vizag portions on September 28, 2024. Later, the team was busy filming the scenes featuring Nagarjuna Akkineni and Shruti Haasan, in the city.

While Shruti Haasan reportedly wrapped up her entire portions in the film, the Telugu superstar is expected to be a part of the upcoming Chennai schedule, as well. If the reports are to be believed, the actress-singer might rejoin the sets of the film if she is needed for the patchwork shoot, in the future. From the recent updates, it is safe to assume that Shruti Hasaan is playing a pivotal character with less screen space, in the film. Coolie marks her first onscreen collaboration with Rajinikanth, the biggest onscreen rival and close friend of her father, Kamal Haasan.

Rajinikanth is playing the role of Deva, the protagonist in the upcoming Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial. Shruti Haasan plays the role of Preethi in the film, which features a stellar star cast including Nagarjuna Akkineni, Sathyaraj, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, and others in supporting roles. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the songs and original score for Coolie. Girish Gangadharan is the director of photography. Philomin Raj handles the editing. The Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial is bankrolled by Kalanithi Maaran under the prestigious banner, Sun Pictures.
