Connect trailer: Nayanthara headlines this horror flick which deals with a risky exorcism during a lockdown

Nayanthara in Connect

Connect is perhaps the most-awaited Tamil movie of this month. For, it has Ashwin Saravanan at its helm and Nayanthara playing the lead in it. The former is someone who has carved a niche for himself with horror projects like Maya and Game Over. The latter joining him again after Maya has evoked good expectations among cinephiles.

This time, too, the duo has teamed up for a horror thriller which has a run time of 99 minutes. The makers have announced that the film will be screened without an intermission, which has escalated hype surrounding the film.

The two-minute trailer of Connect which has been unveiled now offers a glimpse into the movie's plot. A happy four-member family, that includes a senior citizen, realizes one day that something is wrong in their house. They are shocked to find that the little girl in their house has been possessed by an evil spirit.

A leading exorcist comes to their rescue, but the family realizes that it isn't easy to handle the spirit. The announcement of a lockdown in the country adds to their woes. How are they going to face the unanticipated scenario?

Like Ashwin's previous outings, Connect, too, is likely to impress with its making, going by the promo video. The short run time is expected to be an advantage, provided the film has a tighter screenplay with intriguing moments. Sathyaraj and Vinay Rai will be seen essaying key roles, while Anupam Kher is making his return to Tamil with a crucial character.

Vignesh Shivan's Rowdy Pictures has produced the movie which has cinematography by Manikantan Krishnamachary and music by Prithvi Chandrasekhar. Real Satish and Richard Kevin have handled action choreography and editing respectively. The project is hitting the screens on December 22.
