It looks like Lady Superstar Nayanthara is facing unique trouble from theatre owners. The horror thriller, which is helmed by Ashwin Saravanan has no interval block. The film's producer Vignesh Shivan who is bankrolling Connect under his home banner, Rowdy Pictures, had recently revealed that Connect will be a 95 minute-long film and had stated that he wanted to not have an intermission in the film as  it would disturb the pace of the film.

However, this aspect seems to have irked some of the theatre owners as they do not want to screen the film without an interval. This is because most movie halls make profit during the interval block, when the food and beverage business is at its peak. But with a no-interval setup the business is expected to take a huge hit.

Connect marks the comeback of the Maya combo of Ashwin Saravanan and Nayanthara and the trailer of the Hindi version was released recently, which has won many hearts. The star cast includes Nayanthara, Sathyaraj, Anupam Kher, Vinay Rai and Haniya Nefi. Music for the film is by Prithvi Chandrasekhar.

The film was recently screened for the students of Anupam Kher's acting school, Actor Prepares. Sharing a picture and the video of the same, Vignesh Shivan had written on his social media handle, "Had an excellent time with a special screening for @AnupamPKher sir’s Acting school @actorprepares The way everyone enjoyed the movie and the great comments from them made me feel confident & proud of the film #Connect @Ashwin_saravana #Nayanthara #sathyaraj (sic)."

The plot is said to revolve around a four-member family, who are shocked to find that the little girl in their house has been possessed by an evil spirit. Real Satish and Richard Kevin have handled action choreography and editing. Connect is all set to hit screens on December 22.
