Anudeep KV has directed the film which will release in Tamil and Telugu,
Sivakarthikeyan and Maria Riaboshapka in Prince
It was announced a while ago that Sivakarthikeyan's forthcoming project Prince will hit the screens as a Deepavali release. However, the makers did not reveal its exact release date. At a recent event in Hyderabad, director Anudeep spilled the beans on the much-awaited movie's release plans.
He announced that Prince will hit the screens on October 21. Fans of Siva, who are thrilled at the news coming from the horse's mouth, are now looking forward to a final confirmation on social media. The movie is Anudeep's sophomore film after Jathi Ratnalu which became a blockbuster in Telugu in 2021.
Prince, the first bilingual flick of Sivakarthikeyan, was initially supposed to release in August. However, the team announced their change in plans with a hilarious promo video featuring the actor, Anudeep, Sathyaraj and Maria Riaboshapka who plays the female lead in the film.
The movie, which has been shot in Chennai, Hyderabad, London and Pondicherry, has music composed by Thaman. The first single from Prince was unveiled recently by makers, and movie buffs were all praise for Siva's dance skills. Titled Bimbiliki Pilaapi, Anirudh has lent voice for the peppy song along with Ramya Behara and Sahithi Chaganti.
Prince will release along with Karthi-starrer Sardar which will also have a simultaneous release in Tamil and Telugu. The last time films of both the stars were released together was around three years ago. Siva's Hero and Karthi's Thambi clashed at the box office in December 2019, and both of them turned out to be average grossers.
Suniel Narang, D Suresh Babu and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao have jointly produced Prince which has Praveen KL and GK Vishnu handling editing and cinematography respectively. Premgi Amaren is said to be essaying a never-before-seen role in the movie.
