A private film company has run into trouble after it shot a blast scene in the Kalimpong district of West Bengal. The makers are said to have conducted the blast without official permission.
The production unit was shooting for a Hindi web series. They were filming a blast scene of a truck on the 80-year-old Coronation Bridge. A part of the bridge falls under the Kalimpong district while the other is under Darjeeling. The scene was being shot on the bridge, which comes under Kalimpong district. The blast led to dark black fumes covering the sky, leaving the locals panicked.
The video of the blast was taken by some bystanders and uploaded on social media. The clip has gone viral on several online platforms. People also fear that the blast might have damaged the bridge, which is a major tourist attraction.

A case has been registered against the production company and the matter is now being investigated by the local police. According to a report by Telegraph, the police said that the production company had approached them for permission to shoot the scene on the bridge but they didn't grant it.
However, the name of the production house or further details about the web series being shot on the spot has not been revealed.
