Comedian Lollu Sabha Seshu passes away
Comedian Seshu, who predominantly appeared in Tamil films, died on Tuesday. The actor was recently seen in the rural comedy film Vadakkupatti Ramasamy alongside Santhanam. Seshu, alias Lakshmi Narayanan Seshu, suffered heart attack and was taking treatment at a hospital. Subsequently, he died after the treatment could not save him. He was 60.
Actor Seshu has appeared in a number of Tamil films as a comedian. The late actor was a recurring and household face in the television comedy series Lollu Sabha, which starred Santhanam. Subsequently, Seshu also made a transition from small screen to big screen and was seen alongside Santhanam in comedy tracks.
Seshu, who has been ill for some time, had been taking treatment at a city hospital in Chennai. He had been undergoing treatment since March 15. A few weeks ago, posts asking for contribution for his treatment went viral. However, the comedian took his last breath on Tuesday after being taken out from ventilator support. The funeral ceremony will be held at the actor's residence on Wednesday morning. He was 60. Several took to their social media accounts to pay their last respects to the actor.
Seshu made his big screen debut with Thulluvadho Ilamai, starring Dhanush in the lead role. Before that, he has appeared in several episodes of Lollu Sabha and was a prominent face of the show. After that, Seshu appeared in supporting comic roles, especially alongside Santhanam, continuing their Lollu Sabha camaraderie. They were recently seen in Vadakkupatti Ramasamy, which is currently streaming on Prime Video.
Seshu has also acted in films like Parris Jayaraj, A1, Gulu Gulu, and Dikkiloona, which starred Santhanam in the lead role. He has also paired up with Jeeva and Maran, who also hail from Lollu Sabha troupe.
