The series follows the story of the character of Johnny Lawrence, decades after the events of the 1984 film
Johnny Lawrence is gearing up for a hard hitting comeback in Cobra Kai’s latest season. The second season of the martial arts comedy show will premiere this month.
What is Cobra Kai about?
Cobra Kai is a spinoff of the hit 1984 film, The Karate Kid. The series is set almost 34 years after the events of the film and follows the story of Johnny Lawrence. Johnny is seen to be not doing so well for himself, working at a dead-end job and estranged from his family. His old karate nemesis, Daniel, however, is seen to be thriving.
It takes losing his job and helping defend a young boy from a bully to make Johnny reconnect with his old martial arts. He does so in the form of reopening the Cobra Kai dojo, where he had trained in his youth.
Who are the cast and crew of Cobra Kai?
The stars of the original 1984 movie, Ralph Macchio and William Zabka, will be seen reprising their characters of Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence respectively, in the series.
In addition to the two, Xolo Mariduena, Mary Mouser, Tanner Buchanan, Jacob Bertrand, Peyton List and Martin Kove will also reprise their roles for the show’s upcoming fourth season. New cast members include Dallas Dupree Young and Oona O'Brien.
The series is created by Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg.
When and where to watch season 4 of Cobra Kai?
The latest season of Cobra Kai will be available to stream on Netflix from December 31.
