Ajith Kumar has undergone a minor procedure to treat nerve swelling. He has not undergone any major brain surgery
There have been speculations that Tamil star Ajith Kumar was admitted to a hospital for an operation. Reports have suggested that the actor is facing an alarming health condition. Several prominent personalities, like politician Edappadi Palaniswamy, producer Suresh Kamatchi, and many others, have been wishing the actor a speedy recovery. However, it has now been clarified that Ajith Kumar did undergo a medical procedure but it was not a major surgery. Also, the actor is doing well.
On Friday, rumours spread that Ajith Kumar, who enjoys a massive fanbase in Tamil Nadu, had undergone brain surgery. While scores of people wished him a speedy recovery, it has turned out that the news is false.

Speaking to OTTplay, the actor's publicist, Suresh Chandra, clarified that the actor is doing well, contrary to reports suggesting that he underwent an operation. "He had gone for a routine check-up; he has lost two of his close friends in the recent past. He had gone to the hospital as a precautionary measure and did a complete check-up, including a neuro check-up. It was found that he had a small swelling in the nerve that connects the brain to the ear. So, a small procedure, like an angio, was done on him. He has been shifted to the ward and will be discharged either tonight or tomorrow,” the publicist added.
The clarification comes at a time when scores of fans have been concerned about the actor's health and have been sending their wishes for his speedy recovery.
On the work front, Ajith Kumar was last seen in Thunivu, which was released in 2023. His next project is titled Vidaa Muyarchi, which will be helmed by filmmaker Magizh Thirumeni. The film is being backed by the Lyca Productions banner. It film is currently in production and the makers have already shot major portions in Azerbaijan.
Apart from Ajith, the film also stars Trisha, Arjun Sarja, Regina Cassandra, and Arav in pivotal roles. Anirudh Ravichander is scoring the music with Nirav Shah handling the cinematography.
