Prime Video's Citadel: Diana will transport viewers to the exciting realm of international espionage. On October 10, the new spy series will premiere on Prime Video worldwide with all six episodes.
Arnaldo Catinari created and directed Citadel: Diana with the assistance of Ilaria Bernardini, Gianluca Bernardini, Laura Colella, and Giordana Mari. Alessandro Fabbri is more than just the head writer; he also contributes as an executive producer. Amazon MGM Studios, in collaboration with Cattleya, a division of ITV Studios, and showrunner and executive producer Gina Gardini, produces Citadel: Diana with the support of the Italian Ministry of Culture's Directorate General for Cinema and Audiovisual. Citadel: Diana plot summary
This is 2030 in Milan: Eight years ago, the formidable enemy syndicate known as Manticore destroyed the autonomous global spy agency Citadel. Since then, Diana Cavalieri (Matilda De Angelis), an undercover Citadel spy, has found herself stranded in Manticore, acting as a mole behind enemy lines. Edo Zani (Lorenzo Cervasio), the heir to Manticore Italy and son of the Italian organization's head, Ettore Zani (Maurizio Lombardi), is competing for leadership against the other European families. When she finally sees an escape route and the opportunity to vanish forever, she must rely on an unexpected ally—Edo—to accomplish this.
Matilda proudly announced that she went through four months of training; she wanted to be able to do most of her stunts during her appearance at Prime Video Presents: Trailblazers. Given her background in gymnastics, the actor eagerly embraced the opportunity to perform a stunt that came naturally to her. As Italian female actors, they don't have nearly as many opportunities to play and be a part of projects as large and demanding back home. For Matilda, it was a chance to learn and develop. "Italian style!" she kicked someone because she wanted to!

When Matilda first met Gina and Arnaldo, they laid out everything for her, from the sets and props to the weaponry. Something about this world drew her in right away, she recalled. Since this is still mostly uncharted territory for Italian actors, the actor said that it was a unique experience. The enormous difficulty of playing Diana became clear to Matilda as she read the screenplay. One of the main reasons the actor accepted the part was because of the strenuous physical demands of playing her.
Diana's intricate inner life captivated Matilda more than the strenuous physical demands. Italy will release Citadel: Diana, the second series from the Citadel universe, on October 10, 2024. On November 7, 2024, the series Citadel: Honey Bunny, starring Varun Dhawan and Samantha will debut in India.
