The film failed to even touch the Rs. 25 crore mark at the domestic market.
On Monday, Cirkus suffered greatly as revenue fell by over 60% to Rs. 2.75 crore nett. The carryover releases did well on Monday, even though it wasn't a holiday, because the period between Christmas and New Year's is a favourable one for commerce, nevertheless, these collections appeared. The holdovers that were issued on Monday either increased from Friday or remained at the same level, whereas Cirkus experienced a significant decline as a result of its rejection.
The movie's four-day earnings are Rs. 23.50 crore nett, and if it doesn't stay at these levels after Monday's significant decline, it may end up with a first week gross of little more than 30 crore nett. But none of that really matters because it has no impact on how the movie turns out.
In Maharashtra, the movie is performing better than it is across the rest of the nation. Gujarat/Saurashtra is a complete surprise because it has poor collections despite the fact that the genre usually does well there.
Following are Cirkus' four-day collections:
Friday: Rs. 6.50 crore
Saturday: Rs. 6.25 crore
Sunday: Rs. 8 crore
Monday: Rs. 2.75 crore
TOTAL: Rs. 23.50 crore
