Cinematographer Jomon T John ties the knot again, Ranveer Singh shares a special message

Renowned cinematographer Jomon T John tied the knot with Ansu Elsa Verghese on December 22. He shared the photos of the function on Instagram, writing, “My hope n home”.

Ansu Else Verghese is a producer at Jomon T John and Producer Shameer Muhammed Wedding Planning Venture, Studio360 by Plan J. She is also a part of their movie production house, Plan J Studios, and TinT, a colour-grading studio in Kochi. In the wedding photos posted on social media, the couple is seen wearing gorgeous white attire.

Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh conveyed his wishes to the newlyweds. “Congrats, Jo Anna. Love and Light and blessings forever,” he wrote. Telugu and Tamil actress Krithi Shetty commented, “Congratulations jomon chetta and ammu” below the cinematographer’s social media post.

On Instagram, celebrities Jis Joy, Abhaya Hiranmayi, Shamna Kasim, Archana Kavi, Gauthami Nair, and Basil Joseph also expressed their well wishes for the couple.

Hridyam’s producer Visakh Subramaniam, actors Dhyan Sreenivasan, Vinodayathra-fame Ganapathi S Poduval, Asif Ali’s wife Zama Mazreen Ali, and prominent subtitler Vivek Ranjit attended the wedding and took to their social media pages to share photos of the event.

Jomon was married to actress Ann Augustine in February 2014, and the couple got divorced in 2021.

Jomon, who made his debut in films through Sameer Thahir’s Chaappa Kurishu in 2011, won the Best Cinematographer category of the Kerala State Film Awards for his films Charlie, Ennu Ninte Moideen, and Nee-Na in 2015. His other renowned works in Malayalam include Thattathin Marayathu, Beautiful, Vikramadithyan, Irul, Kaapa, Jacobinte Swargarajyam, and Oru Vadakkan Selfie.

The cinematographer has also worked in Telugu and Tamil films such as Enai Noki Paayum Thota, Bramman, Paava Kadhaigal, and Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty. He made his Hindi debut with Fattack and later collaborated with Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal Again, Simmba, Cirkus, and Sooryavanshi. Jomon had also shot a 2:49 teaser of Gautham Vasudev Menon's Dhruva Natchathiram.

His upcoming work is Ajayante Randam Moshanam, starring Tovino Thomas, Sathyaraj, Rohini, and Aishwarya Rajesh.
