CID 2: Shivaji Satam, Aditya Srivastava, and Daya Shetty slay Gen-Z slang like a pro and THIS video is proof

CID 2 starring Shivaji Satam, Aditya Srivastava, and Daya Shetty will be released on December 21 on Sony TV, SonyLIV (OTTplay Premium).

After a long wait, the makers of CID 2 revealed the release date recently. The much-awaited second season of the investigative series will be available from December 21 on Saturdays and Sundays at 10 p.m. on Sony TV, SonyLIV as well as OTTplay Premium. The iconic trio Shivaji Satam, Aditya Srivastava, and Daya Shetty will be reprising their much-loved roles of ACP Pradyuman, and inspectors Abhijeet and Daya respectively. Ahead of the release, the makers shared a new promo of CID 2.

On November 26, Sony Entertainment Television shared a new video ahead of the release of CID 2. The clip shows Shivaji Satam, Aditya Srivastava, and Daya Shetty using Gen-Z terms while investigating crime cases.

While ACP Pradyuman says, "Dal mein kuch toh Sus (something is fishy) hai, hai na" Daya reveals, "Sir, witness Low-Key (kinda) kuch chhupa rahi hai. Crime batane mein hesitate kar rahi hai Sir." On the other hand, Abhijeet says, "Sir usne apne saare contacts Ghost (end/remove) kar diye hai. Radar see gayeb hai Sir. Pata nehi kaha hai."

While sharing the video, the streaming platform captioned it, "Prove ho gaya ki Team CID sirf mujrimon ko hi nahi, Gen-Z slang ko bhi slay kar sakti hai. Dekhiye #CID 21st December se, Sat-Sun raat 10 baje, sirf #SonyEntertainmentTelevision par."

CID 2 release date announcement

Sony Entertainment Television has shared a promo of CID 2 along with the much-awaited release date. They announced that the new season will be available from December 21 on Saturdays and Sundays at 10 p.m.

The new promo shows Inspector Daya breaking a door to catch the criminals while ACP Pradyuman says, "Daya darwaaza todh." Daya can be seen wearing a t-shirt while his body is bandaged. He says in the promo, "Jo asani se maar jaye wo Daya nehi."

Sharing the video, they captioned it, "Apraadhi chahe kitne bhi darwaze band kar lein, Daya se nahi bachenge! Dekhiye #CID 21st December se, Sat-Sun raat 10 baje, sirf #SonyEntertainmentTelevision par."

Meanwhile, CID 2 will also be available on SonyLIV and you can watch it with your OTTplay Premium subscription too.

Reacting to the release date, fans have flooded the comments section with their happy messages. One user wrote, "And they are back. They have brought our childhood back (sic)." Another commented, "I cannot wait for the show. CID was our favourite show and we are glad the channel has introduced another action-packed season. Six years was way too long. I am shedding happy tears."

For the uninitiated, CID started streaming on Sony TV in the year 1998. The show continued to entertain the audience till the year 2018. It became a cult classic and is still one of the most loved shows.
