CID 2 starring Shivaji Satam, Aditya Srivastava, and Daya Shetty will be available from December 21 on SonyLIV, Sony TV and OTTplay Premium.

After a 6 year-gap, fans' favorite CID is returning with its second season. CID 2 will see the iconic trio Shivaji Satam, Aditya Srivastava, and Daya Shetty reprising their much-loved roles as ACP Pradyuman, and Inspectors Abhijeet and Daya. The show will be available every Saturday and Sunday at 10 pm, starting today, December 21 on Sony TV, and SonyLIV and you can also watch it on your OTTplay Premium subscription. Ahead of the release, the makers dropped a new promo.

Only a few hours left till we get to see Shivaji Satam, Aditya Srivastava, and Daya Shetty returning in CID 2. Ahead of it, Sony Entertainment Television shared a new promo featuring Daya.

In the clip, we can see Inspector Daya slapping a criminal and saying, "I have been breaking guns since you started learning how to target with it." The new season promises to keep the audiences hooked with its gripping crime cases.

Sharing the promo, they captioned it, "Darwaza ho ya crime ka rasta, Daya sab tod ke case ko suljha hi deta hai! Dekhiye CID 21st December yaani aaj se, Sat-Sun raat 10 baje, sirf #SonyEntertainmentTelevision par!"

In an interview with The Tribune, Daya said that the entire team is very excited and even the fans are thrilled as the show is returning after six years.

"People continued to follow the show, even old episodes were being re-watched! So I can’t be happier to reprise my role as the beloved Daya, who will break down even more doors in this new edition of the show," he added.

When asked what has been the most rewarding part about playing Daya for so many years, the actor said that it has been an incredible journey and the most rewarding part is the love he has received from fans. "Wherever we went, it never felt like our show was off air. People weren’t talking about the shows that were currently on air; instead, they were discussing CID," Daya shared.

CID, one of the most loved and longest-running Indian Television series, started in 1998 and ended in 2018 with 1547 episodes. The announcement of the second season of CID evoked nostalgia among fans.
