Fans are eagerly awaiting the release date of CID 2 since the announcement was made by the makers. The iconic trio Shivaji Satam, Aditya Srivastava, and Dayanand Shetty will be returning with their much-loved roles as ACP Pradyuman, Abhijeet, and Daya in the new season. While the makers continue to tease fans with the release date, they dropped a new video of Aditya aka Abhijeet who can be seen answering a fan's question that will leave you rolling on the floor laughing.

On November 22, Sony Entertainment Television shared a new video featuring Aditya Srivastava aka Inspector Abhijeet. In the video, we can see him replying to a fan who teased if he remembers the episode where he forgot everything or that also he has forgotten.

To this, Abhijeet became quirky and replied, "Did I really forget? When? Oh yes, Abhijeet memory loss. This episode came in 2013 and episode number was 942." Pointing fingers to the screen, he gave off Inspector vibes and asked, "Anything else?" This proved Abhijeet never forgets anything.

Sharing the promo, they captioned it, "Facts ho ya details, Abhijeet ke paas sab ka hisaab hai #CID wapas aa raha hai #SonyEntertainmentTelevision par."

As per Pinkvilla, the makers of CID 2 want to take the cult detective series on air in December - around the Christmas / New Year period.

"Over the years, audiences have given so much love to the TV show, and now is the time to give back the love to the audience," the source added.

The source also mentioned that CID 2 will be released in December 2024.

The makers continue to tease fans with dazzling promos, building anticipation for the show's comeback. These promos gave a glimpse of the exciting storyline of the new season, adding to the excitement and curiosity of the audience. One of the promos showed a chilling encounter between Daya and Abhijeet.

How many doors did Daya Shetty break in CID?

A recent promo featuring Dayanand Shetty shows the actor answering a most-asked question and that is how many doors he has broken in the first season of CID.

The actor shared, "Normally koi bhi accha kaam karta hai toh hum log use gin ke nehi karte jaise aap paise gin ke nehi rakhte ho kyunki laxmi ginne se ghar jaati hai toh waise daarwaaze ke sath wohi hota hai. But ek fan ne study kiya hai aur usne hume bataya hai ki 1700 or 1800+ darwaaze main todh chuka hu as per the fan's survey."

(When we do good work, we do not calculate just like earning money. So this is the same case for breaking doors. One fan surveyed all the episodes of the first season and came to know that I have broken 1700 or 1800+ doors in CID season 1.)
