Chris Pratt starrer ‘The Tomorrow War’ coming to Prime Video on THIS date

The movie, backed by Paramount Studios, was initially expected to release in theatres on July 23, 2021.

The Lego Batman Movie famed director Chris McKay’s military science fiction The Tomorrow War, starring Chris Pratt in the lead role, will start streaming on Amazon Prime Video from July 2. The movie will also be released in a Hindi dubbed version. Apart from Chris, The Tomorrow War features Yvonne Strahovski, J. K. Simmons, Betty Gilpin, Sam Richardson, Edwin Hodge, Jasmine Mathews, Ryan Kiera Armstrong and Keith Powers in pivotal roles. Chris Pratt will also be executive producing the movie.

The movie, backed by Paramount Studios, was initially expected to release in theatres on July 23, 2021. The film, however, opted for a direct-to-OTT release as the reopening of theatres is still uncertain in the current COVID-19 situation. It is reported that Amazon bought the rights for The Tomorrow War for a whopping USD 200 million (roughly Rs. 1,486 crores).

According to the official synopsis shared by the makers, the plot of the movie is, "Time travelers arrive from 2051 to deliver an urgent message: 30 years in the future mankind is losing a war against a deadly alien species. The only hope for survival is for soldiers and civilians to be transported to the future and join the fight. Determined to save the world for his daughter, Dan Forester teams up with a brilliant scientist and his estranged father to rewrite the planet’s fate."

Chris Pratt will be portraying the lead role of a former Delta Force Operator Dan Forester, who now works as a teacher. Yvonne Strahovski, on the other hand, plays the role of a former romeo command Vicki Winslow.
