Chiyaan Vikram is set to reunite with Cobra director Ajay Gnanamuthu, for his 63rdproject. The project will go on floors after the actor wraps up the shooting of Chiyaan 62.
Chiyaan Vikram has always been one of those very rare actors who have experimented with every single project in their career. The National award-winner teamed up with director Ajay Gnanamuthu for Cobra, the 2022-released action thriller. The project, which featured Vikram in a double role, ended up as an average affair at the box office. However, the actor-director duo is now set to reunite for another project.
Ajay Gnanamuthu to director Chiyaan Vikram’s 63nd film
As per the latest reports, Chiyaan Vikram is now set to reunite with Cobra director Ajay Gnanamuthu for his 63rd outing in the film industry. The project, which has been tentatively titled Chiyaan 63, will go on floors only after the celebrated actor completes shooting for his 62nd project, helmed by Chithha director SU Arun Kumar. The recent updates suggest that Ajay Gnanamuthu will begin the script works of his next outing with Vikram, immediately after the release of his ambitious project, Demonte Colony 2.

If the reports are to be believed, Chiyaan Vikram and Ajay Gnanamuthu are planning to reunite for a stylish action thriller, after Cobra. The National award-winning actor, who has been a part of back-to-back rustic thrillers and period films including Mahaan, Ponniyin Selvan, Thangalaan, and Chiyaan 62, is reportedly planning to go for a complete genre change with Chiyaan 63. However, the makers will announce the project, only right before it goes on floor.

Chiyaan Vikram’s work front
The supremely talented actor has been on a signing spree for the past couple of projects. Chiyaan Vikram teamed up with his son Dhruv Vikram, and director Karthik Subbaraj for the OTT hit Mahaan. Later, he reunited with veteran filmmaker Mani Ratnam for the prestigious project Ponniyin Selvan, which hit the theatres in two parts. The cine-goers widely loved his portrayal of historical character Aditha Karikalan in the movies.
Chiyaan Vikram’s long-delayed project Dhruva Natchathiram, which is helmed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, is finally set to hit the theatres in a few days. He is teaming up with acclaimed director Pa Ranjith for Thangalaan, the period action thriller which is slated to hit the theatres on January 24, 2024. The actor is also playing the lead role in the untitled rustic thriller, which is helmed by Chittha director SU Arun Kumar.
