According to Pa Ranjith, he was feeling very emotional and guilty about putting Chiyaan Vikram through such physical stress. At some points, the filmmaker found it hard to watch the actor perform and ended up asking his assistants to check on the actor instead. Ranjith revealed that he approved the scenes by just watching the rushes on the monitor and never dared to look directly at the actor perform. The filmmaker later apologised to the National Award-winning actor for ‘torturing’ him so much.
